The mission of Animals and People Together(APT) is to connect therapists, professionals, and volunteers with animals and human clients for mutual healing and growth, in a compassionate and supportive environment. All lives are enriched when mutual trust, dignity, respect and creativity are taught., shared and modeled. While fostering mutual service within our inter-species program, miracles happen.

Our mission was to create an organization which connected humans and animals for mutual healing and growth, knowing that all lives would be enriched when trust, dignity, respect, and creativity are shared. Our vision included a therapy animal program, farm therapy, animal rescue and a wilderness exposure program, based on a shared focus of helping foster animal/people relationships and healing the nature-deficit disorder we see in our culture, especially affecting children. We know nature heals.

APT will create financial equality for under-privileged individuals and/or groups. Opportunities will be provided for those who are unable to afford animal-assisted therapy, and therapy in nature and wilderness and farm settings. APT will also provide intervention for under-served animals with possibilities for rescue, rehabilitating and retraining. These therapy and rescue programs will provide tax-exempt benefits for individuals and organizations that wish to contribute funds and resources to support and further out mission and activities. Each activity will be funded by grants, volunteered time, personal donations, corporate donations and in-kind donations.
